Our B&B is just a short walk from Fontwell Park race course and is ideally situated for guests attending both race meetings and parties and weddings being held at the Fontwell Park weddings venue.

Chichester
If you are looking for culture you will find it all in the nearby historical city of Chichester, home to the nationally reknowned Chichester Festival Theatre and the highly respected Pallant House Gallery with it’s outstanding collection of twentieth century British art.
This pretty Georgian city has a fine cathedral, the only one in England that can be seen from the sea and it’s long Roman history can be explored at the Novium Museum
Goodwood Events
Mount Pleasant Farm is ideally placed for attending Goodwood Flagship Events. We welcome visitors attending the annual Goodwood Festival of Speed, the Goodwood Revival and the Goodwood Members Meeting.
Horse Racing at Goodwood Park
Recognised as one of England’s most fashionable racing events, The Goodwood horse racing festival takes place every August at Goodwood Park and evening meetings and other horse racing meeting take place through the spring, summer and autumn months. This famous horse racing curcuit has a spectacular backdrop with views across the South Downs and south to the coast.


The South Downs National Park
Just a few minutes drive to the north you will find yourself in the glorious South Downs National Park. If you enjoy walking or cycling then the park is scattered with beautiful downland villages, old flint cottages and churches, sprinkled with delightful pubs, and criss-crossed by Bridleways and footpaths which will lead you up to enjoy spectacular views across the downs and to the sea, Chichester Harbour and, on a clear day, as far as the Isle of Wight.
Historical Arundel
Tucked under the 11th Century Arundel Castle this pretty town is well worth a visit. With bustling streets full of antique shops, cafes and restaurants the town boasts one of the largest multi-arts festival in the south.
Arundel Castle commands the landscape with magnificent views across the South Downs and the River Arun. Founded at the end of the 11th Century, it has been the family home of the Dukes of Norfolk and their ancestors for nearly 1000 years.
